What type of fertiliser should i use for my veg patch i have my own compost i don’t think that is enough though
The land in Meath is mostly a bit heavy but fertile.
You could spread about 50gm/squate metre of a general fertilizer, with the NPK ratio roughly 7-7-7, or a bit higher in potash, which is the K, at 0-10-20 if your compost is rich. Different products vary on Apply this a couple of weeks before sowing and rake it in.
If you feel growth is still not great, use it again in subsequent years and fertility will build up.
