I would need latin and popular name so I can translate into italian. Thank you for your help Mary

There is a host of trees that would be good for the purpose. The simplest thing always is to look around your own neighbourhood and see what has been used and what might suit and ask for a twig with leaves from your neighbouring gardeners to bring to a garden centre.

Olive is a possibility. Italian cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) is upright, Pittosporum tobira is bushy, Magnolia grandiflora is much used in Italy. Bay laurel (Laurus nobilis) too.Greek arbutus ( Arbutus andrachne) All these are bushy evergreen.
