I have a newly installed south facing porch. Looking for ideas for a plant or maybe fruit tree that would look well and survive. The leaves on my tomato plant have started to droop badly. What can I do to bring it back to health?Would blueberry work and look well ?
Polygala myrtifolia is an excellent porch plant that flowers almost year-round. Not widely available but it can be got with a bit of searching.
Or it is hard to beat an old-favourite red-flowered geranium in a big pot, or a Jade tree, Crassula, is tree-like in a pot with fleshy coin-sized leaves.
Or for a fruit tree, you could use a lemon tree, which has scented flowers and will carry fruit.
