Any idea what plant this is? It stands about 30cm high and was discovered hidden in among a growth of nettles.

This is the fruiting stem of a wild flower called lords-and-ladies, Arum maculatum. It follows a funnel-like flowers and broad pointed leaves which disappear in summer. It grows in shady spots in hedgerows and woods and is very common.

The berries are poisonous..
