planting after so much rain

I have clamtis and honeysuckly for planting. Is the ground too wet to put them in now? thanks

Planting after rain is no problem if the soil has drained. It is not a good idea to plant when the soil is wet, especially in winter.

Test before planting that the soil is draining well by digging a hole.

Clematis and honeysuckle like well-drained soil, though not too dry in summer.
