What are the best plants to grow along a new 60ft wall at the west side of a south facing garden?

The best plants are the ones you like the look of!
Most trees, shrubs and perennial flowers will grow well in this situation. You need to choose perhaps 1 or 2 garden trees, 1 at the end and one part-way along. Some shrubs near them and away from them to give structure and then perennial flowers to fill in between the shrubs.
