We have just moved into a new home and are ready to design our garden.We live beside the sea, so its frequently windy. Can you suggest some shrubs/trees/plants that we could plant, that will survive in these conditions.

There are lots of trees and shrubs for seaside …pine, olearia,pittosporum, griselinia, hebe, phormium, escallonia, fuchsia, holly, hypericum, hydrangea etc.
You should have a look around the area and consult gardeners locally, join a local club, and buy some books on seaside gardening.
