4 weeks ago we planted mature (10ft) Portuguese Laurel which were transported from Italy. In the past week a lot of the leaves have turned yellow. They are watered every second day for about 20 mins per tree – are they getting too little or too much?

It sounds like enough water, but you must make sure it gets into the rootball.

There is no use spraying water from a hose if the root bal is dry and the water runs off it into the soil.

Place the hose to barely trickle into the root ball for a couple of hours and move it on.
