Privacy for Boundary

Jonathan Kenny asked 9 years ago
I am looking for planting suggestions for my garden boundary to offer privacy for both my garden and my neighbour. I am in the process of renovating an overgrown garden. As you can see from the attached photo my garden and house are over looked by my neighbours house. I plan to continue my fencing and possibly plant a mix of low growing trees and hedging. What would you recommend? I am afraid hedging alone wont get high enough. I have just removed 2 large overgrown spruce trees that divided the houses.

Perhaps a mixture of laurel, hazel, hawthorn and some holly would suit you as an informal screen.
