I have a house in a rural area which I visit for long weekends and holidays. Badgers visit regularly and leave their faeces in rows on the footpath from the road to the front door. I have fears about cleaning this and doing the lawn etc. Is there an effective deterent please?

Badgers can be a nuisance in a garden, tearing up and messing lawns but there is not much you can do.

It might be possible to put in a wire fence, but it needs to be robust because they can dig under it, although they generally don’t.

It might be possible to apply to the Wildlife Service to have badgers re-located.
