Hi Gerry, I have a large lawn (1/2 acre). What is the most cost effective way to control weeds, in particular clover, on such a large area of grass ?

Use a lawn weedkiller that contains the active ingredient: mecoprop. Apply this as a spray with a knapsack sprayer in fine warm weather on a calm evening. To encourage the grass to compete with weeds, it will need to be fed with a high nitrogen fertilizer.
