Problem with tomatoes

Marie McConn asked 6 years ago

I bought a plastic hanging basket preplanted with cherry tomatoes. They are just ripening but the plant appears to be dying and half the tomatoes are diseased looking . What is it and what can we do?

From the photo you sent, this looks like potato blight damage as blight can also affect tomatoes.

The leaves rot and the fruit gets a brown rot. Some of the tomatoes might be useable.
