What is the best method for removing a dense covering of docks from my new lawn. I have mown regularly and leaves are remaining small and turning a pinkish colour, is this indicating that the mowing is working on its own or should I supplement this with another method ? Growth in some areas of the lawn seems to have slowed and new grass is very slightly yellow, what can I feed it with?

Mow each week and the grass will come on. Feed with lawn fertilizer or high-nitrogen fertiliser.

You can leave the weeds until late summer and if the grass has grown well, apply a lawn weedkiller or wait until May next year if it has not grown well.
