Can you please recommend trees/shrubs for a wind swept seaside garden – in Dingle, Co Kerry?

There are lots of possibilities, such as evergreen oak, pine, holly, olearia, griselinia, hebe, sycamore and Japanese spindle.
First take a look around the area to see what is doing well in similar conditions.
