Seedlings

Julie Pettit asked 14 years ago

I have just transplanted summer bedding seedlings, lobelia, viola and one other type. I currently have them in a sunny spare room as I dont have a greenhouse. Will this be too warm for them or could they go out into the garage?

The problem is that the inside of a house is warm but lacking light and seedlings tend to get elongated. Give as much light as possible but watch for sun scorching on a hot day. Summer bedding needs some warmth to grow and may need frost protection in a greenhouse. The garage is not suitable unless it has a translucent roof.
