I have suckers under a Cornus controversa ‘Variegata’. How would you suggest getting rid of them? I have cut them down to ground level. Is this the best procedure?
The suckers are likely to be the green-leaved form if it is a grafted plant. Take back the soil and cut the sucker wher it arises from the root and back-fill and firm the soil well over the qrea where the sucker was.
