i had vine weevil killer (sachet type that you mix with water) and used it on rhubarb and herbs which are grown in large containers. Is it ok or not to use the herbs and rhubarb ?

Presuming you are talking about Nemasys, the nematode vine weevil killer,  you can use that on  any plant. But it is as well to ascertain whether there are vine weevil larvae present in the first place.

If the sachets are Provado, this is an insecticide and although rated as relatively safe with very low mammalian toxicity, it is difficult to know how much might be delivered in produce grown in a pot.
