When to plant seedlings out

Katie Cunningham asked 15 years ago

I bought cabbage, spinach and baby gem seedlings yesterday and was wondering when I can plant them out. Is it still too cold?I have a mini greenhouse so would you advise putting them in that for a few weeks? Or perhaps putting them in the greenhouse/indoors at night time and outside during the day? Either way, at what stage do you think i should plant them down?

If these were already outdoors in the garden centre where you bought them, they were already hardened off, so plant them out straightaway.Water as they need it and watch for slugs and snails.

If they were in a glasshouse or tunnel, harden them off over a week or ten days, outdoors by day, under cover at night and then plant out.
