I had a few trees planted two years ago but they have failed to grow. I think this is down to using the strimmer to close to the bottoms of the tree while cutting the grass. The bark has bee chipped away but the trees are still alive. Is there anyway I can fix this and help the trees grow to their potential? Thanks.
Please identify from the attached picture. Can grow very tall. Also recommend how to eradicate.
About 8 yrs ago I planted Rubus Tricolor on a long, large bank to give me quick ground cover. Well I got that for a few years but now it's like something out of 'Day of the Triffids'. It is growing at a huge rate every year & it seems like the more I cut it back (& that is a huge job) the stronger it grows & the further it travels. I really need it gone at this stage, therefore could you recommend a suitable weedkiller.
Beech hedge planted three years...about a hundred metres long. Is there a weedkiller that can safely be used to control weeds around the hedge?
Can I still use a bag I bought a couple of years ago and left out in the garden (unopened)? I want to lay it around a load of lavender I just planted. When I opened the bag its, not surprisingly, quite wet and has white bits on the bark. Is this the way it's suppose to be? Should it be ok to use?
I have a very big area which in Spring has Snowdrops and Fritillaria.. It is really lovely, but is gradually being gobbled up by ivy. There is way too much to remove manually.. How can I kill it without damage to the Spring bulbs? I should say that there are also lots of narcissi.
Plagued with "mare's tail". I think it came in with some gravel. It is RAPIDLY spreading EVERYWHERE, through the gravel beds, through wildflower meadow wher opening was created to prevent grass choking out flowers,in flower beds, raised beds, etc. is ther any specific compound that is effective and what safety measure needs to be taken.
Is there any herbicide sprays on the market to help control grass and common weeds but not harm a newly planted Noble fir plant? A spray that can be broadcast from a industrial or tractor sprayer?
Which is better for killing tree stumps, SBK or Roundup? Or it there anything else?
