I bought a climber rose about 6 years ago and it used to flower with lovely red flowers. I’d cut it back every year. But over the last two years it’s gone very strange. Last year it had pink flowers and very few red. This year it’s just bolted and no sign of any bud at all. Is it time to dig it out? Any advice would be great. Im sorry I don’t know the name of the rose.

The rootstock has sent up suckers and these have taken over..with small pink flowers.

The red-flowered top may have died at the graft union at soil level.
