Autumn raspberries are best pruned in early spring at the firs signs of new growth, cutting away all old canes because they fruit on the new season’s shoots.

Blackberry plnats produce new shoots each year and these flower and fruit the second year. All stems that have fruited can be cut away as soon as fruiting is over.
