I have just erected a greenhouse. Should I plant bedding seeds in the greenhouse now for spring ?

Spring bedding plants such as wallflowers and pansies, need to be sown in May to give good plants for planting before winter.

You could sow some seeds of hardy annuals such as pot marigold and California poppy for planting out in April to flower in June/July.

Seeds of summer bedding such as petunias and begonias needs additional warmth of a small propagator or heat mat to sprout the seeds and the seedlings can be then grown in a greenhouse. These seeds are not sown until February and March.
