Blight on allotment

Paul Glennon asked 14 years ago

My neighboring allotment has potato blight, I have tomatoes in bags in an open tunnel beside them. Should I spray immediately or wait until there is a warning, when the weather is damp? I keep the foliage as dry as possible but there is some humidity in the tunnel. No sign of blight on the tomatoes yet.

In general you will not get blight on tomatoes in a greenhouse, if you keep the foliage dry. It can happen in a wet cool summer with condensation.  Water only at ground level.
