I planted this about 4 years ago without knowing anything about it. Now having read horror stories on the internet about its invasive habit I am anxious to get rid of it. I started to dig it up but cannot get to the end of its long tap root. Whats the best way to get rid of it.

Campsis or trumpet vine is vigorous, especially in a warm climate, and needs space but it is not fully hardy here so it does not pose a great problem. If you want rid of it, allow it to re-grow and spray with glyphosate, such as Roundup.
