We are celebrating our 40th. wedding aniversary and want to plant a tree in the attached lawn. Can you suggest best location and a suitable tree.Have thought about a Blue Cedar but open to your advice.

The area would suit a cedar very well, as long as the soil is good, deep and well-drained, which is appears to be. Ensure a two-metre diameter grass and weed-free zone for the young tree and make sure it is planted just at the depth of top of the pot, not deeper. It might need a stake for a few years.
