Frost burned griselinia hedge

R. Gleeson asked 14 years ago

My hedge was badly ‘burned’ in the frost earlier this year. I hoped it would come back, but no joy. IS there anything I can do to help it along, or should I just replace it?

If there is no sign of growth it is probably dead at this stage, give in another few weeks and see it there is any sign at the base. If the bark starts to flake off at the base it is definitely dead.

You can just cut down the tops and plant new hedge between the dead stumps and these will eventually rot away.
