gathering and planting seeds

Margaret Long asked 15 years ago

Ihave gathered seeds from Sweet William, Aquagila, Pansys and other flowers I just don’t know the name of, now I want to know when and how to plant them. I have a polytunnel and a glass room in our house but I was wondering would it be best to plant them out in a clean bed and when to do this, then the fun is plant or weed.I plant a lot of seeds baught in packs in Jan & Feb would it be the same

In general with flower seeds, sow in seed trays of new compost, covered very lightly with sived compost, and keep in a warm place in spring until sprouted.

They can be stored in brown envelopes in a cool place, including a fridge.
