Canteloupe melon can be be grown in a greeenhouse, pinching out the main shoot when small and training the two side shoots up strings or canes. The melon flowers need pollination by air movement or gentle tapping once a day when open.

The fruiting shoots can also be allowed to trail on the floor of the greenhouse or cold frame.
