Griselinia

Eoin Windle asked 15 years ago

I have a hedg of Griselinia (approx 200 plants) and there are a number of them that appear to be dying. The leaves are turning yellow (with light black spots) and then falling off. Can you tell me what this might be and how can I treat it.

This sounds like honey fungus. If you go to Knowhow:Plant troubles: List of diseases: Honey fungus you will get more information.

Griselinia is very prone to this disease and there is not much you can do about it. Remove dead plants and re-plant, although runs a risk, or try common laurel instead, which is more resistant.
