Growing dill from seed

Koraley Northen asked 13 years ago

I would like to grow dill from seed bought in a supermarket. When should the seeds be planted and would that be in a seed tray or in open ground?

Sow dill seeds in March to August, repeat sowing every three or four weeks for continuous supply, and sow in March or April to grow to seed.

Supermarket dill seeds may not be completely viable as such seeds are sometimes treated to control bugs, unless it was a packet of seeds intended for sowing.
