I was wondering is it possible to grow a Jasmine tree in this country.I would like to plant 1 in a fairly sheltered area in nuetral soil.

Various kinds of jasmine can be grown here including the white scened jasmine and the yellow unscented winter jasmine. The former does best in a mild garden and you should be fine in Cork.
Jasmine is a climber or scrambling plant, not a tree.
