I recently planted over 380 ft of laurel hedging approx 2ft high. How often do i need to water them? Even on a showery day do i need to? any other after planting/care advice.

Newly planted trees and shrubs do not have to be watered every day. It is much better to water every week or ten days but heavily to ensure it gets to the roots, especially with bare-root trees, applying at least 5 litres each time and ideally more, which means a hose for the numbers involved.

Usually a few waterings, plus normal rainfall, are enough but keep it up until there are signs of new growth.
