Moving roses

Robin Mather asked 13 years ago

I have a few roses that are now hidden by other plants and I’d like to move them to another spot. Any hints?

Roses move well. Tie the stems with strong cord or rope to keep them out of the wayand dig around to lift the rose, cutting the roots as they are encournatered. When lifted, cut back the stems to about 30cm tall and plant in the new site

Roses can be lifted at anytime when the leaves have fallen.
