Mycorhizal fungi are present in most old soils and while they can be beneficial, it is hardly worththe trouble applying them in a garden situation. Musch better to plant carefully and control weeds.

Mycorhizae are especially beneifical in poor soil and in hot countries which soil fungi are not as well supplied with water and nutrients as they are here.

Garden centres may stock it, such as Johnstown Garden Centre, Naas.
