Myosotidium hortensia

Olive O Flynn asked 15 years ago

I purchased this plant about a year and a half ago and have it growing in a shady, humus-type soil. However, everytime it seems to begin to thrive, some of it’s leaves get a brown die-back at their base. Is there anything I can do to stop this as it is a beautiful plant with lovely blue flowers.

Try to have a better passage of air around the foliage and stems to prevent this happening. There appear to be the stems of dicentra over it, for example. it might simply be grey mould disease taking advantage of damp conditions.
