Problem with carrots

Stephen Roche asked 13 years ago

I grew carrots for first time this year. Carrots are severly cracked, short and fat. Also they appear to have worms.

The up and down weather is the cause of the cracking and the ‘worms’ are probably the larvae of carrot root flies.

A carrot fly fence can block these. More at: https://gardenie.wpengine.com/gerrycategory/carrot-root-fly/?id=5679
