I have a split cherry blossom with both white and pink flowers, the problem is the pink flowered side is healthy while the white flowered side as the year progresses tends to die back a bit.the tree is around 6 years old.any suggestions as to what can be done to improve it would be grateful.

When a cherry shows white and pink, it is rarely deliberately grafted, and it is the white flowers of the rootstock from the stem below the graft. The white side may be losing leaves early as it does this naturally in a summer of good growth.

Generally the white wild form from the rootsteock takes over.
