Planted this as a hedge from b/r 5yrs ago. Now some plants are stunted and dying back whilst others are thriving. Site is open, exposed. Soil ph – neutral. Can you suggest remedial action(s) I can take to remedy.

Portugese laurel makes a good hedge, although variegated plants in general are not wind resistant.

Hedging planted bare-root succeeds to a varied extent, and if some are doing badly, buy some plants and plant replacements.

Wet ground is not good for this plant.
