Red Birch query

Keville Fox asked 14 years ago

About 4 years ago i planted 12 10 yr old Red Birch on a new site along the drive. One of the Trees has been approx a month behind at spring and ahead at autumn. Its lower branches seem to be dead but always have been (possibly damaged in transit) I am afraid it may eventually die and am wondering if there are any feeds which would be benificial for this tree? I am only new to gardening and came across your website on google.

Sometimes a tree does not take properly, or was planted too deeply.

Feeding will not help. Control grass and weeds for 2 metres diameter by applying Roundup.
