remedy for shot-hole

Might you advise on a remedy or cure for hole shot in a laurel hedge, as whilst the hedge fairly full of foliage, it would seem that it is not triving either.

Shot-hole disease is a name given to bacterial canker disease of members of the cherry family, which laurel is. It is a sign that the conditions are damp and perhaps ove-sheltered. If anything can be done to increase air movement it will help.

Shot hole can be reduced by spraying with Dithane or Liquid Copper but it is hardly worth the effort if the underlying conditions are the same.
