Spraying roses

Elaine Williams asked 16 years ago
Is there anything I can use to kill greenfly/whitefly on my roses other than Rose Clear? I have a lot of bees, butterflies and have just adopted 5 baby bunnies (increasing every few days!) and the mother and father and I am afraid that the Rose Clear will poison them all! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and Regards Elaine

Bees and butteflies do not visit garden roses and if you keep the bunnies away, they will be alright. They are more likely to eat the roses!

There are other sprays for greenflies, such as soap-based sprays which are relatively harmless, but it is onbly necessary to spray roses when there is a heavy infestation, and these can often be washed off with a jet of water.
