Gerry, To my recent question on stable manure, your answer was to be careful when using it as a compost. Would it be suitable as a lawn dressing, and when, and rich or sparingly?

Horse manure is not really suitable for a lawn. It tends to be in clumps and this would kill the grass and make mowing difficult … you would pick up a lot of it with the mower.
If it well well rotted and fine material you could spread it and perhaps brush it in … a lot of work and not a great lawn fertiliser in any case because it is not high in nitrogen.
Horse manure is known for having tetanus spores and it would not be best where children are playing.
