Strawberry plants are best renewed after about 3 or 4 years as they tend to produce small fruit. They can be grown in the same spot unless there is any poor growth and wilting, generally on heavy soil.

This indicates red core disease and this is soil borne, so move to a bew spot and grow on raised drills.
