I STARTED HARDENING OFF MY GARDENERS DELIGHT ON A SUNNY DAY BUT THE LEAVES TURNED WHITE AND PAPER THIN.MOST OF THEM DIED.WHAT HAPPENED? THE LEAVES WERE NOT WET BY THE WAY.

The leaves scorched in the strong sunlight. This can happen even when not wet, because they are so soft.
