I took down wild Ivy which was growing on and around my shed it is very hard to get at the roots could you suggest how to control it or destroy it.

If the stems at soil level are not too thick, say pencil-thick, the best way is to chop them out with a spade.
If there are thicker stems, cut them at soil level and dab on undiluted Roundup with a small paint brush to kill the roots.
