I would like to have some hanging baskets during autumn and winter i wold like some advice on what is the best plants to give a little colour.

Winter is not a great time for baskets because of gales, but if the area is reasonably sheltered you could try winter pansies and/or primroses with some foliage from permanent plants like ajuga, small carex, heather and/or bergenia, or others. Put in some spring bulbs.
