I planted an acer ORANGE DREAM in a large pot early this month. It is showing withering of the young leaves around the edges.. The bigger green leaves are not affected.. I used John Innes No3 compost and added a little shrub fertiliser when planting.. I have watered in the normal manner for newly planted plants.

It has probably got a bit of a setback from being in a new position and may have suffred some wind burn and perhaps went a bit dry a tthe root for even a short time.
Be careful not to over-water. Give large amounts applied less often. No feeding until it settles.
