Month: February 2011

This is a photo of the first flowering of my lovely species Rhodo, R.Fulvum. I have a book which my Mam gave me years ago which has a photo of a R.Fulvum in it and I was delighted when I was able to add one to my garden. To my mind, it really has it all. Eventually, it can grow to tree size but even at the size it is now, it’s easy to appreciate its foliage with the lovely rusty indumentum on the leaf underside. I have it underplanted with my newly acquired dwarf species R.Pronum and to either side of it, two lovely Hellebores and it has turned out to be a lovely corner.
