Gardens Open

It takes a generous person to open their garden to the public for the enjoyment of others. Here Garden.ie lists about 300 gardens open for visiting, some year-round, others by appointment, and be sure to phone ahead.

Almost 2 hectares of seaside garden, dating back to the 1820s.
The garden is being run organically, with a big emphasis on wildlife.

It is also a very personal arboretum with a wide variety of trees, planted amongst the old oak, beech and conifer trees. Wildlife meadows and interesting shrubs add to the things to see and a sunny courtyard with pond.
