The slightly lower temperatures and the hungry wildlife are a small price to pay for the peace and tranquility of living in the mountains. In fact, sitting on the deck and watching a doe and her fawn feeding only feet away, even if it is on my flowerbed, has to be one of the most privilaged moments in anybody's life.
